Obtaining and maintaining the CDCES credential demonstrates not only your dedication to your specialty but also that you continue to meet a level of contemporary knowledge in diabetes and education. Use your credential with pride.

CBDCE Portal
Your Dashboard
Now that you are a CDCES®, the dashboard for your account on the CBDCE portal, where you originally applied for the exam, is now a useful area for you to find information on your certification and can help you manage your contact information related to your certification record. You can also add your professional information to the public directory for individuals to be able to find you as a CDCES (Locate a CDCES). The dashboard also contains access to information about renewing your credential. Be sure to save the portal log in page as a favorite, so you can easily find it in the future.
Check Your Mail
We’re recognizing your achievement by sending a certificate and wallet card bearing your name, certification number and expiration date. If you’ve moved since applying for the exam, we ask that you let CBDCE know of your new address and telephone number. If you do not receive the certificate within six months after the date of the exam, please contact us.
We send our bi-annual email newsletter, CBDCE News, to all CDCESs. Read the newsletter and visit the website to keep up to date on certification and renewal requirements. Check out the other CDCES resources available.
Share the News
Tell your employer and colleagues the exciting news that you have earned the CDCES credential. Add the CDCES to your LinkedIn profile and include it in your email signature. Post a picture and share on social media platforms that you recently earned your CDCES credential. Be sure to tag us!
Elevate public awareness of diabetes care and education by telling your employer and the people you work with or care for about the credential.

Promote Your Certification
Because of your status as a CDCES, CBDCE grants you permission to use the CDCES logo as long as your certification remains valid. You can:
- Use CDCES behind your name on your email signature, business cards and social network profiles
- Display the CDCES certificate in your workplace
- Add the CDCES logo to promotional materials
In addition to using CDCES behind your name on stationery, business cards and the like, you may also use the CDCES Marks in the following ways:
- Displaying the CDCES certificate
- Wearing the official CDCES pin
- Displaying the CDCES logo on promotional materials such as business stationery, brochures, and flyers
Permission to use the CDCES Marks may be terminated by the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education at any time pursuant to CBDCE policies and procedures. In no event may you use any of the CDCES Marks after your certification has expired. CBDCE specifically reserves the right to amend its policies with respect to the usage of the CDCES Marks at any time, provided that it will take reasonable steps to notify you of any policy changes.
There are prohibited uses of the CDCES designation and the CDCES Marks which include but are not limited to the following:
- Communicating to others in any way that you have the right or authority to provide diabetes education or other services beyond the limitations set forth in the applicable practice act of your profession.
- Promotion or endorsement of commercial products and services other than your personal diabetes education services.
- Use the CBDCE contact form to submit any logo usage questions or request the CDCES logo. Logo files are sent via email.
