BC-ADM

Renewal

Introduction to Renewal

Individuals holding the BC-ADM® certification must renew every five years and the renewal process must be completed prior to their certification expiration date. As a courtesy, individuals up for renewal will be notified by Meazure Learning 6 months (via email and U.S. mail), 3 months (email only) and 1 month (email only) prior to certification expiration. It is the responsibility of the individual to renew certification prior to their certification expiration date. For timely processing, the certification renewal application should be submitted no later than 45 days prior to certification expiration. Find the expiration date on the BC-ADM certificate or by sending an inquiry to info@cbdce.org.

Renewal of certification is accomplished through a combination of practice hours and professional development. Renewal by exam is not an option for the BC-ADM certification program.

Renewal Requirements

  • Hold a current, active and unrestricted RN, RD, RPh, PA, or MD/DO license in a state or territory of the U.S. or the professional, legally recognized equivalent in another country

Examples:

  • Jasmine became certified on June 14, 2022, her certification expires on June 14, 2027, her accrual cycle began June 15, 2022.
  • Steve became certified on December 15, 2022, his certification expires on December 15, 2027, his accrual cycle began December 16, 2022.

We know five years seems far away right as you just became certified, but now is the time to:

  • Learn about the various renewal pathways
  • Add an appointment to your calendar for January 1 of the year your certification expires that reminds you to check in with CBDCE to ensure you understand what is needed for renewal.
